Maintenance problems

All I hear when I talk to salespeople how easy the tub is going to be once I get it. They tell me not to worry as if the tub will balance its own bacteria level and stay clean. They just tell me to replace the filters when I should and to use these chemicals. It is not that easy. I'd rather dump 300 gallons and wait a half a day for the tub to fill back up than to worry about this sometimes. I have scalar infused stones on the bottom of the tub. You can't even see the bottom of the hot tub in mine. So many people bring in filth to my tub I go to extremes to keep my tub hydrophilic. This is more about the therapeutic feel than cleanliness. If I had a tub full of offgassing chemicals, I would not use the scalar stones as it makes the water less hydrating so I don't absorb the chemicals.

Many people hire someone to fix their tubs and maintain them. It usually costs about 50 to 100 bucks for a technician to come to your house and maintain your hot tub.
