Price Ranges:

2000 to 4000 dollars
Pressure analogy: Gentle massage with fingers only -
Hot tubs that typically sell under 4,000 dollars, especially those that are closer to 4,000, do share some of the features of the higher end models that doesn't necessarily mean the components are the same quality. It might have the same number of jets in the same places but jet quality is no where the same. The shell might look the same but it might be one that cracks in a few year or has very low insulation. Basically, it has the features of high end tubs but sacrifices better engineering and costly components. They work good enoguh to say you have a hot tub. A good buy for the very tight budgets. You might end up paying more in the long run to keep the tub maintained.

4000 to 6000 dollars: Average strength hand massage -
(Some can be pinpoint, almost stinging type pressure) They might be powerful in the "hot seat" but this type of engineering if you buy a cheaply made one most people call the stinging type of pressure. the extra 2,000 dollars you spend on these make them the mini version of the high end models. It is replicated from the high end models, the engineering makes them feel good but you just crave more and you only know what it is when you experience each additional upgrade in quality. You will probably need to buy your own filtering agents as you will need it. These require a lot more maintenance and you don't want to run them all day.

6000 to 9000: Strong hand massage =
If you are so positional intolerant that you cannot even touch your toes and need flexibility, you might want to start with jets of this strength. These are my most popular category in price range as they are not the cheapest but not the best we carry. What I mean by best is, depending on your positional tolerance, some people might just need an energizing hexagonal soak while other people need more stimulation from water pressure. I am not gonna say these are bad or good, it's just that they are the middle of the road hot tub. You might like it you might not. If you are hydrophilic it usually is enough. If not, then you might want to try one in this category before you buy one. (You can take my quiz and I will recommend a brand for you to try out. I rarely sell a tub to someone without them trying it first unless I am almost sure it will be a fit. A few other protocols can be taken to stimulate the lymph flow in these tub and you should be alright.

9000 to 12000
elbows (more than hands but less than Thai -
Note: Some jets can be very powerful but you have to sacrifice other jet flow. The more jets you have giving the strongest water pressure the more expensive the tub will generally be. I can get you a great tub but be aware of what you sacrifice to get the desired pressure. Rarely does someone travel around to all the hot tub stores around the country and record their experiences with each tub. There's only so much components that can go into a hot tub. In this price range it usually tops off with all the high end components that the cheap ones don't have due to wholesale cost restrictions. Most people either have their chiropractor buy it for them under their business license to get a cheaper price or people try to use insurance to get a spa in this price range. I strongly suggest your chiro buy it for you so you can use their tax ID and resale license to buy for you. Or you can go to the local business license place and it usually costs about 80 bucks to get a business license like we did. I will try to help anyone out and am not allowed these prices unless someone signs a MAP pricing agreement. If peolpe aer smart, they would spend the 80 dollars so legally they have the right to get that price. Why do you think it is so easy for so many dealers to pop up al lthe time. Most don't make it because they aren't doing what I am doing. They just sell the one brand they like the best and only that one. I usually have to go directly to the manufacturer to get use my license unless I have special arrangement worked out with a local dealers. These tubs are made with industrial materials, and are as close as you can get to the very best without spending the price of an extremely therapeutic tub. I rate the hot tubs in this price range the top of the consumer class for residential use.

12000 to 15000+
Thai massage (for those that need deeper tissue than hands can ever give.
Wide area types, high gallon per minute.
These may or may not have fancy bells and whistles to sell their tubs, just higher grade components and sturdy. The tubs in this category don't have to work as hard as the ones with lower grade components so they'll usually last much longer and rarely if ever, have to be sent back for repair. These are tubs that probably are not assembled but from made from the original manufacturer. These tubs are built with money not being a factor and the price tag reflects that. You might pay more money up front for a higher end tub like these but pay less in the long run and have less need to go out and get a massage.

Caution: Because people are going to hot tubs stores and finding tubs that costs 12,000 and do not have the components nor jet power that I mention on my site. These prices are based on factory direct retail, not a 6000 dollar tub that is marked up to 12000. It is the 12000 dollar tag marked up from the cost to manufacture the tub, not a 2nd markup and double shipping cost (cost to ship to the store, then to deliver to you. This adds an extra expense and also for local sales tax.
All these factors inflate the price and many people pay thousands less and question why I put those tubs in the 12000 to 15000 range. I typically try to find high volume dealers locally in the states of my customers who will let me buy under their account (I have many stores that arent a dealer for another brand that a customer wants and they buy that brand from me at my cost and they give me their cost on their brand). When paying over 12000, please compare components and engineering, not just all the tubs you see with the 12000 and over price tag. Simply put, avoid inflated prices. The best way I have found tubs with inflated prices are those that will let anyone become a dealer. Those that you have to buy 200,000 dollars worth of their tubs, have a show room, be an authorized service center, etc, are usually the ones that are not like that.

My staff has personal experience with just about all the major models on the market. We have flown to different states to try all the ones we needed to test to make sure we know how each tub really feels, and have done our tests without the sales people looking over our shoulder to see what we are doing. I hate having a sales person over me coming back to me every few minutes to ask me how I like the tub. Just leave me alone, let me do my thing, and let me walk out. I don't need a sales pitch. I don't need someone to talk to me while I am testing it. I will put on my sound blocking earphones on if I have to to shut them up.
Local store vs internet
On the internet you can usually buy a hot tub with better components at the same price a local store will sell one discounting it at retail. With internet dealers, like us, we dropship and they tubs are delivered directly to the manufacturer. If you want to buy a tub from a local hot tub store and we are not in your state, we can process the order to save you taxes if we are a dealer for that tub. Please do not just call us to just use us to save you tax money, that's really not our purpose for the site.

Even though local stores have overhead, we pretty much all pay the same for the tubs. They might get a better price because they stock them but some internet dealers do more volume and get a better price. Also, tubs that are delivered to the store and then need to get delivered create another expense too.

Getting the best price on a tub depends on a lot of factors, (the main factor is getting a local dealer to give you a good price). I give everyone the same price and don't play any pricing games. The only way I will discount is if someone is doing me a favor.

I do change my prices when I get better deals but do not charge one person higher than another just because they are rich.

I have access to demo hot tubs and new hot tubs from every brand that I can get that I approve of. If you do want a tub that I do not approve of I can try to get you a better price but will not process the order myself. I will use local hot tub stores as well as my internet dealers and direct manufacturers depending on which one gives me the best price.
